He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elbers and Helen Elbers (Hoff); his siblings, Gilbert, Cornelius, James Elbers, Grace Van Maanen, Helen Schook and Arlene Church; his siblings-in-law, Jacob Van Maanen, Alvin Funge, Lyle Funge, Donald "Pete" Funge, Lorana Elbers and Wilma Elbers; and his in-laws, Murel and Stella Cronk.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Funge of Cronk's Station; his children, Vicky Anderson (Dan) of Sioux Falls, Dawn Baas of Brandon and Mike Elbers (Ali) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Matt, Jason, Amy, Tonya, Austin, Zach and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Harper, Max, Stella, Lexi and Layne; and his sisters, Carol Van Bemmel (Marion) of Luverne, MN and Bev Siebring (Gary) of George, IA. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
