He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smedsrud and Minnie Smedsrud (Hanson); and his wife Patricia Kock. He is survived by: his children, Kim Morgan of Valley Springs, SD, Howard Smedsrud of Sioux Falls, SD, Dave Kock (Sharon) of Sioux Falls and Mike Schumacher (Sheri) of Valley Springs, SD; and his grandchildren, Damon Sehr (Krystal), Kayleen Lane (Adam), Jared Sehr, Kellie Smedsrud, Aubrey Sanderson (Dave), Matt Sauers, Dani Schumacher and Christian Volk. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Covid 19 took away our ability to physically be in Gib's presence beginning March 2020.
