With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary L. Hokenstad of Brandon, South Dakota, who passed away on January 15, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin and Dorothy (Nelson); and his brother Chuck Hokenstad. He is survived by: his children, Anne Hokenstad (Arvid Nielsen) of Worthington, MN, Susie Dorris of Dell Rapids, SD and Mike Hokenstad (Lisa Dayton) of Brandon, SD; his sisters, Cynthia Tompkins (Rich) of Mason and Candace Ruckdashel (Rick) of Apple Valley, MN; and his grandchildren, Alexa Hoffman (Johnny) of Clearwater, FL, Nick Hokenstad of Brandon, SD and Libbie Dorris of Sioux Falls, SD.
Memorials are preferred to the Split Rock Lutheran Church General Fund in Gary's name.
