He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Swier and Dorothy Swier (VanderLugt); his wife Wilma Jo Swier; his siblings, Rich Swier (Catherine), Will Swier (Alida), Pete Swier (Dottie), John Swier (LaDonna), Roger Swier, Dennis Swier, Betty Immeker (Frank) and Rosie Chiesa; and his brother-in-law Alvin Farr.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Swier (Kristi), Chad Swier (Kara) and Kelli Mitzel (Daryl); his grandchildren, Riley Swier (Kristine), Cody Swier (Chelsey), Kaylee Swier (Quinn Odenthal), Brady Swier (Cameron), Schuyler Swier, Hannah Swier, Spencer Swier, Hailey Derosier (Kody) and Mason Mitzel (Alexus Wallenberg); his great grandchildren, Orah, Eliza, Noah, Wesley, Brooklyn, Ruby, Forrest, Rory, Renlee and Ivey; his sister Grace Farr; and his sister-in-law Donna Swier.
