Donald Jay Kooiman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Jay Kooiman of Brandon, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Donald Jay departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Donald Jay. Though Donald Jay may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Kooiman and Henrietta Kooiman. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren, Don is survived by five brothers.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church (2901 E 26th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
