David Earl Lien Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2023, at the age of 83, David Earl Lien of Brandon, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelmer Lien and Gladys Lien (Sundem); his daughter Sonja Lien; his stepson Mark Hurney; his brother Tom Lien; his parents-in-law, Wilson and Helen Maschino; and his sister-in-law Vickie Lien.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie (Maschino); his children, Erik Lien, Brandon and Lezli Klitzke (Dan); his stepchildren, Casey Hurney (Melanie), Brandon, Pat Hurney and Mary DeRouchey (Jim) of Omaha, NE; his brothers, Michael Lien (Joan) and Richard Lien; and his sister-in-law Laura Lien. He is also survived by three granddaughters, and six grandsons; four great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Post 131 American Legion, Valley Springs, Spirit of Truth Lutheran Church, Brandon, or a charity of your choosing.
