He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Schuetts and Lillian Schuetts (Remme); his siblings, Jim Johannsen, Ivalene Schuetts and Beverly Schmuck; and his grandson John Daryle Schell.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Schuetts of Brandon, SD; his daughters, Beth Ann Marlatt (Bill) of Spearfish, SD, Marcia Hendrickson (Chuck) of Chancellor, SD and Jill Bergemann (Dan) of Storden, MN; his grandchildren, Ann Hoffman (Brett) of Lennox, SD, Ryan White (Randy) of Charleston, WV, Katie Daniel (John) of Sioux Falls, SD and Joe Hendrickson (Katelynd) of Granite City, IL; his great grandchildren, Philip, Elizabeth, Lucy, Henry, Jace and Jett; and his brother David Schuetts (Dianne) of Des Moines, IA.
Many remember Daryle for his contributions to the horse industry in South Dakota and neighboring states as a breeder, trainer, judge, farrier, 4-H club leader and of course, story-teller.
