He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Stoterau and Nora Stoterau (Smith); his wife Donna Lee Oye; his grandson Adam Stoterau; his siblings, Eugene Stoterau and Marcia Binford; and his sister-in-law Rita Shirkey.
He is survived by: his children, Kurt Stoterau (Yvonne) of Lennox, SD, Gwynne Anderson (Brent) of Brandon, SD and Lucynda of Castlewood, SD; his grandchildren, Shane Stoterau (Malorie) of Brandon, SD, Kelcey Smith (Brenton) of Brandon, SD, Dallas Szakatz of Hartford, SD, Kaylee Ver Steeg (Cody) of Inwood, IA, Jordan Wilson of Harrisburg, SD and Mariah Stoterau of Harrisburg, SD; his great grandchildren, Logan, Teydan, Titus, Eden, Abel, Everleigh and Elouise; his sister Karol Mohs (Jerry) of Alexandria, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Marvelle Stoterau of Sioux Falls, SD, Virginia Peters of Jordan, MN, Larry Binford of Moorhead, MN, Bruce Oye (Marlyn) of Hardwick, MN and Burdell Oye (Barbara) of Prior Lake, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other friends.
