She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hanson and Anna Hanson; her husband Charles Cook; her stepson Dennis Cook; and her granddaughter Allison Schmidt.

She is survived by: her children, Alvy Cook (Connie) of Las Vegas, NV, Daniel Wegner (Bricy) of Mission, TX, Debra Fleming (Rick) of Omaha, NE and Catherine Robinson (Jon) of Denver, CO; and her sister Glennys Case of Pierre, SD.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

“My deepest condolences go out to Carol's family. I had the pleasure of being one of her caregivers at Bethany. Her and I shared a huge love for bacon and I made sure every morning she got her bacon. Despite how she would feel everyday, she always had a ear to ear smile on her face. That smile has and always will be on my heart and she will always have a place there. She was such a sweetheart and I consider myself honored to have met her.”
