He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Mae Johnson; his sons, Kent Schmidt (Nancy) of Manassas, VA, Bruce Schmidt of Jasper, MN and Lynn Schmidt (Trish Kindt) of Valley Springs, SD; his siblings, Elsie Ahern (Jim) of Washington, Katherine Warwick (Robert) of Sommerville, SC and Dean Schmidt (Vera) of Arlington, SD; and his grandchildren, Daniel Schmidt of Oregon and Rebecca Schmidt of Virginia.
