She is survived by: her husband Rudolph Merkel; her children, Lorance Merkel of Bowdle, Clyde Merkel of North Carolina, Alice Helm (Jake) of Brooksville, FL and Lois Mumford (Jack) of Farmington Hills, MI; her sister Verna Fischer of West Fargo, ND; and her nephews, Jerry Sayler, Duane Sayler, Jimmy Diede of West Fargo, Bruce Fischer of Park Rapids, MN and Allan Diede of Fargo, ND.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.
