He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Aldinger (Ellis) and Donald Aldinger; and his sister Bonnie Lou. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Zimmer; his children, Jarret Aldinger of Bowdle, Judon Reinbold (Justin) of Aberdeen, SD and Joni Heinrich (Kevin) of Aberdeen, SD; his sister Penny Bonen (David) of Hosmer, SD; and his grandchildren, Douglas, Claire, Alyssa, Madelyn, Olivia and Carter. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
