He is survived by: his wife Velma Sanden; his sons, Leslie Schmitz (Christina) and Lorn Schmitz; his granddaughter Annabelle; his niece Brenda Warnke; and his siblings, Bill, Nub, Rick, Vic, Phillis, Tanny and Rose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
