With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene W. Thorpe of Blunt, South Dakota, born in Britton, South Dakota, who passed away on August 25, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Thorpe and Marguaritta Thorpe (Claeys); and his sister Madeline. He is survived by: his wife Mary Forsting; his children, Deanna Thorpe and Josh Thorpe (Heidi); his grandchildren, Skye and Sawyer; and his siblings, Leona Ness (Jerome), Richard Thorpe (JoAnne), Raymond Thorpe (Ellen), Rolland Thorpe (Mary) and Carla Pahl (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
