It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norbert Francis Liebig of Black Hawk, South Dakota, born in Redfield, South Dakota, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zita Liebig (Robinson) and Gaar Liebig; his brother-in-law Ron; his niece Kristi Ann; his great-nephew Austin; and his great-niece Taylor.

He is survived by: his daughter Audra; his son-in-law Gordy; his grandsons, Gage, Kasen and Gaven; and his siblings, Jane Crist (Mel), Julie Richmond (Keith), Joan Persing and Louis Liebig (Myrt).

A memorial has been established for college education of his grandsons.

It was a pleasure to have known Norb, he taught patrolling to our recruit class in 1984, and I later attended other training with him, including a DEA drug investigator course.
