He is survived by: his sisters, Rozanna Frost (Paul), Debbie Marshbank (Jim) and Joyce Alsip (Norm); his uncle Bud; his fiancée Marlene Alice Cox; his daughter Germany; his wife Betty Jo Stone of Hermosa, SD; his children, Brenda Clark (David) of Rapid City, SD, Donna Mitchell (Thomas), Diana Stone, Jennie Haas (Jeff), Danny Wilkins (Alexis), Linda Whittler and Jerad Stone (Frankie); his adoptive son Shawn Bessette of Gettysburg, SD; his grandchildren, Alisha Butterfield (Brian), Eric Clark, Annie Clark (Brady Pinney), Brian Mitchell (Carissa), Anthony Mitchell (Amanda), Peter Mitchell (Kenzie), Paul Mitchell, Crystal Stone, David Bell, Meghan, Ashlee, James Haas, Abbey, Haley, Joseph, Dixie Wilkins, Tchida Wilkins, Maranda and Lydia Whittler; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Alec Butterfield, Adriana Clark, Brodie Mitchell, Elio, Alessi, Ryot, Enza Mitchell, Maxine, Jude Mitchell, Austin, Jade, Elizabeth Stone, Kaylee, Nova Holder, Aiden and June Bell.
