She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Cárdenas and Ana Cárdenas (Olave); her father-in-law Dale Fonder; and her sister-in-law Tina Dahlberg. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Fonder; her son Carlos Fonder; her brothers, Manuel Cárdenas Olave (Gabriela) of Madrid, Colombia and Nicholas Cárdenas Olave (Rafaela) of Madrid, Colombia; her mother-in-law Eileen Fonder of Milbank, SD; her brothers-in-law, Paul Fonder (Bridget), Patrick Fonder (Mae Ward) of Brooklyn Park, MN and Robert Fonder of Pocahontas, IA; and her family, James, Lynn, Christian and Chloe Rekow. She is also survived by three nieces.
