She was predeceased by: her husbands, Troy Splitt and David Sykes; her parents, Norman Mehlhaff and Emelia Schnabel-Mehlhaff; her brother LeRoy Mehlhaff; her brother-in-law Dwight Lehr; and her stepson Devon Sykes.
She is survived by: her son Dylan Dean Sykes; and her sisters, Mavis Lehr, Bonnie Mattson (Steve) and Norma Kilber (Kenny). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
