He is survived by: his close friend Cindy Faubion of Belle Fourche; his daughter Jessi Merkel (Anthony) of Waco, TX; his granddaughter Orianna Hunter (Patrick) of Waco, TX; his great grandchild Beckam Merkel; and his siblings, Karen Carr (Tom) of Lead, SD, Clint Calvert (Martha) of Spearfish and Ron Calvert (Renata) of Byron, IL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
