Paul Schmele Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Schmele of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, who passed away on July 4, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Paul leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Paul may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul William and Sophia Anna Schmele (Karinen); his son James "Jimmy" Paul Schmele; his brother Robert Koskela; and his great grandchild Bridger Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nadine Sandoz (Dwight) of St. Paul, NE, Carol Vidic (Klemen) of Ljubljana, Mary Johnson (Nathan) of Grand Forks, ND, Joanne Wise (Brian) of Orange City and Donna Phillips of Grand Forks, ND.; and his sister June Schmele. He is also survived by daughters, nineteen grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
