He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Dean and Linda Kay Markel (Mintken) of Lodgepole, Nebraska; his wife Misty Ryff; his children, Chase Markel of Laramie, Wyoming and Sarah McKenzie (Bryce) of Buffalo, Wyoming; his grandson Briggs McKenzie; his siblings, Jeff Markel (Jill) of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Tracy Bullock (Larry) of Phoenix, Arizona; his mother-in-law Edie Ryff of Wheatland; and his sister-in-law Mandy McIntosh (Travis) of Wheatland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial to the Greg Markel Memorial Fund, C/O Platte Valley Bank, 200 Sixteenth Street, Wheatland, Wyoming 82201 for mental health awareness would be appreciated by the family.
