He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Wiersma and Esther Wiersma of Belle Fourche; his wife Carleen Binder of Coon Rapids, MN; his sons, Brian (Krystal) of Olive Branch, MS and Luke (Sara) of Coon Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Emilynn, Madalynn, Tate, Trey and Teagan; his son Andrew; and his brother Bruce (Jessica) of Aiken.

He lived that out in his own life as he battled Parkinson's disease.
