She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin "Jack" Peterson and Lottie Peterson (Gustad); her husband Russ; and her siblings, Esther Klemmensen (Peterson), Robert "Bob" Peterson and Harold "Pete" Peterson.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven Nyhaug (Teri), Jeffrey Nyhaug (Jane) and John Nyhaug (Connie); her grandchildren, Erik Nyhaug (Shawna), Jason Nyhaug (Jim Wood), Sarah Lehman (Benjamin) of Fridley, MN, Adam Nyhaug, Amanda Nyhaug and Michelle Swanstrom (Jake); her great grandchildren, Kaleb Nyhaug, Tiegen Nyhaug, Camryn Swanstrom, Kaelynn Swanstrom, Avery Swanstrom and Warren Lehman; her stepgreat-grandsons, Justin, Ty and Colton Haneke; and her sister-in-law Christie Dunbar (Nyhaug). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home (180 Street Olaf Ave, Baltic, SD 57003). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Baltic Lutheran Church (301 Nidaros Ave, Baltic, SD 57003).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Baltic Lutheran Church, American Diabetes Association, or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
