Janice Rae Anderson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Rae Anderson of Baltic, South Dakota, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Cech and Emily Cech (Belshan); her husband Paul Thomas Anderson; and her grandson Lucas Sundal. She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Turner (Paul) of Bingham Lake, MN, Dana Sundal (Todd) of Baltic, SD, Matthew Anderson (Deb) of Darlington, WI, Heidi Steineke (Dennis) of Hartford, SD and Mark Anderson (Tammy); her grandchildren, Emily Winker (Cody) of Windom, MN, John Turner (Bailey) of Bingham Lake, MN, Elizabeth Paul (Cameron) of Mitchell, SD, Hannah Brown (Evan) of Baltic, SD, Will Steineke (Kelsey) of Sioux Falls, SD, Rose Bates (Steven) of Raeford, NC, Allison Sundal (Reed Tonak) of Volga, SD, Grace Steineke of Madison, SD and Seth Sundal of Baltic, SD; and her siblings, David Cech (Rae), Karen McGill of Albert Lea, MN and Pat McMichael of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Nidaros Lutheran Church (47560 252nd St, Baltic, SD 57003). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Shetek Lutheran Ministries or the West Nidaros WELCA.
