Dorothy E. Burfeindt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2020, at the age of 90, Dorothy E. Burfeindt of Avon, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Giedd and Emma Giedd (Berndt); her sisters-in-law, Lillian Burfeindt of Avon, Arlene Giedd of Portage, WI and Joyce Wenzel (Wally) of Sioux Falls; her husband Laurence "Smokey"; her daughter Angela Hill; her siblings, Virginia Podzimek, Mildred Giedd, Earl Giedd and Wilmer Giedd; and her nephew Rodney Podzimek.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Bame (Mike) of Tyndall, Candyce Burfeindt of Mitchell and Joel Burfeindt (Janel) of Sioux Falls; and her grandchildren, Amy Kooistra (Sean), Lisa Sestak (Daniel), John Bame (Jennifer), Matthew Burfeindt (Rachel Wood), Amanda Fey (Brandon) and Jason Burfeindt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 health concerns, private funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Danzig Baptist Church, rural Avon.
