He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schoenfelder and Suzanna Schoenfelder (Blasius); his wife Delores Guindon; his stepdaughter Candie Bathke (Randy); his siblings, Clarence, Robert, Fred, Leonard, Bernard, Vern, Donald, Gene, John, Helen Bohr and Marie Parker; and his granddaughter Lavonna Bathke.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Pennie Edinger (Evan) and Skip Guindon (Betty); and his sister Evalyn Smith. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Martin specifically asked for no flowers at his funeral. The family requests memorials be directed to the American Legion.
