It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry D. Johnson of Aurora, South Dakota, born in Chester, South Dakota, who passed away on April 27, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Idor Johnson and Myrtle Johnson (Holvick); his siblings, Irvin, Roger, James, David, Idor Jr., Marlowe, Leona Moriarty, Darlene Theuer, Dorothy Benson, Doris Corn and Jelaine Ommen; and his grandson Christopher Gunderson.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Johnson of Aurora, SD; his children, Pam Shuck (Mike) of Shawnee, KS, Randy Johnson (Cheryl Shafer) of Sinai, SD and Diane Kriese (Jim) of Brookings, SD; his grandchildren, Michael Gunderson (Shelly), Chelsea Moe (Burten), Jeremy Kriese (Jori), Shane Swope and Amber Swope; his great grandchildren, Lexis, Lilly, Deegan, Austin Moe, Avery Kriese, Sadie Swope and Casey Gunderson; and his sister Gayla McKibben (Daniel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
