He is survived by: his wife Jane Sowell; his children, Benjamin Lee, Jessica JoAnne, Ben Asmus (Shawna) of Aurora and Jessey Brech (Andrew) of Brookings; his grandchildren, Dustin, Henry, Theo Asmus, Brooklyn and Nash Brech; his siblings, Lowell Asmus, Joleen Asmus, Renee Asmus and Janet Beacom (Joe); his nieces and nephews, Christopher Asmus (Marci), Travis Asmus (Ashley), Danny Asmus (Abby), Nikki Mack (Bryce), Jacob Beacom and Emily Beacom; and his father-in-law Richard Sowell.
