He was predeceased by: his parents, Thafel Fuerst and Mary Fuerst (Armfield); his parents-in-law, Emil and Elsie Weisser; his sister Darlene Raysby; and his brothers-in-law, Darold Weisser, Harvey Wormsbecher and Neil Raysby.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Weisser; his sons, Mark and Michael Fuerst; and his siblings, John Fuerst (Mary), LeRoy Fuerst (Marilyn) and Donna Bultje (Jim).
