She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank DeGeest and Nellie DeGeest (Reed); her husband Melvin "Bud" Taylor; her son-in-law Brice Newberry; and her siblings, Dale, Roy, Dennis DeGeest and Mary Califf.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Preheim (Dallas) of Lake Andes, SD, Vicki Newberry of Kingfisher, OK and Jill Kjellsen (Todd) of Armour, SD; and her brother Vern DeGeest of Corsica, SD. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
