She was predeceased by: her parents, Gert Tapper and Hannah Tapper (Bertus); her husband Leo Carda; her son-in-law John Welch; and her siblings, Gertrude Kirchhevel, Annetta Beckman, Martin and Herman Tapper.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Welch of Yankton, SD, Ronnie Carda (Lisa) of Madison, WI and Betty Cox (Jim) of Kirksville, MO.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (403 3rd St, Armour, SD 57313). A prayer was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
