He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Nelson (Marek); his wife Janette Nelson (Spilde); his children, Jacob Nelson (Erin) and Amber Steffensen (Scott); his grandchildren, Annika, Jocelyn Zander (Thomas), Colton, Faith and Tanner; and his siblings, Jack Nelson (LuAnn), Jerome Nelson (Bonnie), Jean Nelson (David) and Janelle Johannesen (Tony).
