With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Severson of Arlington, South Dakota, born in Royal Oak, Michigan, who passed away on November 21, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Severson and Agnes Severson (Eggebraaten); his former wife Nancy Elizabeth March; his son Mark Severson; his brothers, Gordon, Frank and Richard Severson; and his granddaughter Jordan Darrah.
He is survived by: his wife Janis Kay Smith (Lund); his children, Rick Severson (Shireen), David Severson (Karen), Michael Smith (Tanya), Sheila Larson (Larry) and Coleen Liebsch (Thomas); his brother Harold Severson (Darlene); his sisters-in-law, Helen Severson (late Frank) and Lois Kenyon-Severson (late Richard); his grandchildren, Jason Mark Severson, Gary McWhorter (Angela), Nikki Paris (Chris), Arjang Roshanrouz (Naseem), Arash Roshanrouz (Sanaz), Aryan Roshanrouz (Brian), Dina Roshanrouz (Erin), Damoon Roshanrouz, Nicole Volk (Nick), Brittany Krog (Casey), Bradley Larson (Julie), Tyler Larson (Marilyne), Tyler Liebsch (Shannon), Krista Lenz (Eric), T. J. Liebsch, Morgan and Colton Smith; and his great grandchildren, Keyano, Kayden Roshanrouz, Selena, Mya Srour, Angel, Victoria, Nix, Violet McWhorter, Lydia, Aubree, Lane Paris, Jada, Maci Volk, Connor, Colton, Baylor Krog, Quinn, Reagan, Jack, Rudy Larson, Ava, Dylan Larson, Tristin Liebsch and Emelynn Lenz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Due to Covid-19, a Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:30 am with interment at Arlington City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the Special Olympics.
