He is survived by: his children, Sheridan Moss, Mart Kirkland Jr., Zandell Kirkland, Alexis Kirkland and Abe T. (Ty); his stepchild Valentino Wilkerson; and his sister Betty Maddox (Kenneth). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
