She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rademacher and Bertha Rademacher (Lenius); her husband Irwin Symens; her siblings, Burton Rademacher and Vicky Witham; her grandson Ethan Christians; and her in-laws, Lamoyne Prouty, Gene Armstrong, Herman Symens, Judy Symens, Marjorie Symens, Faye Schmidle and Claire Witham.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Hardina (Scott), Jeannine Walker (Ken), Connie Christians (Jason) and Brad Symens (Jenn); her grandchildren, Steven Hardina (Shannon Raby), Jessica Janssen (Aaron), Lauren Hardina (Trever Neal), Ashley Van Tubergen (Brad), Samantha Armstrong (Max), Michelle DeKam (Jesse) and Elizabeth Chamberlain (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Sophie, Lily, Carter DeKam, Kaylee Neal, Walker, Noah Armstrong and Virginia Chamberlain; her sister Shirley Schuller (Roger); her sister-in-law Ruth Rademacher; and her in-laws, Aletha Prouty, David Symens, Karen Jongeling (Darrel), Paul Symens (Faye), Doris Armstrong, John Symens (Shirley) and Craig Schmidle.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Reformed Church of Amherst (303 Centre St, Amherst, SD 57421). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
