She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank LaChiusa and Josephine LaChiusa. She is survived by: her significant other Robin Stroud; her children, TreLynne Stroud (LaChiusa) and Ayden LaChiusa; and her siblings, Eleanor C. Taylor (Leonard) and Charles J. LaChiusa (Maureen). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

If desired, donations may be made in Betty's name to the Lupus Foundation of America, or to Autism Services.
