It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Heiter (Alexandria, South Dakota), born in Emery, South Dakota, who passed away on March 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Heiter and Agnus Heiter; his brother Gene; his sister-in-law Connie; and his nephew Dan.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Peckenpaugh; his children, Sandy Webb (Mark) of Des Moines, IA, Bruce Heiter (Tambi) of Bondurant, IA and Michael Heiter (Debra) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Bridget Gilbertson (Brian), Jason Heiter, Travis Heiter (Lindsay), Andrea Benson (John), Kiley Jo Noble (Ethan), Jordyn Wiser (Austin) and Megan Heiter; and his great grandchildren, Eyan Anderson, Al Ludwig, Finn, Carsyn, Charolette Gilbertson, Paityn, Charley Heiter, Silas, Sterling Webb, Braxten, Kinnick Noble and Bennett Wiser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
