It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Schempp of Alcester, South Dakota, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evert Nelson and Mabel Nelson (Backlund); her brothers, Donald and Darold; and her sons-in-law, Cal Olson and Tom Sailor.
She is survived by: her husband Rodney Schempp; her children, Cindy Sailor, Rick Schempp (Joni), Perry Schempp (Linda), Wendy Schempp and Jaimey Schempp (Jenelle); her grandchildren, Ryan Sailor (Andrea), Ross Sailor (Johanna), Rebekah Dekkenga (Seth), Rachel Ballard (Bill), Kari Schempp, Mallory Rykhus (Austin), Matthew Schempp (Macey), Ben Schempp (Caitlin), Lindsey Eisma (Mitch) and Lexy Sorlie; and her great grandchildren, Jenni, Jalissa, Megan, Brandon, Toby, Jude, Vivian, Levi, Norah, Parker, Brinley, Collin, Alaya, Eleanor, Tessa, Emmie, Brooks, Charlotte, Kaia, Marley, Harrison and Stassi.
