It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gorman Nygard of Alcester, South Dakota, who passed away on December 29, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Nygard and Alma Nygard (Powell); his sons, David Gorman and Ryan Jon; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Helen Jurgenson (Morehead).

He is survived by: his wife Karen Jurgenson; his children, Charles Nygard (Kellie) of Akron, Iowa and Kristi Zimmerman (Mark) of Yankton; his grandchildren, Landon Nygard (Tyleen) of Alcester, Karlee Nygard of Sioux Falls, Riley Zimmerman of Brookings and Cole Zimmerman of Yankton; his great grandchild Addelyn Nygard of Alcester; and his stepgrandchildren, Blake, Grace and Cody Egenes.

Masks and social distancing are required.
