He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigmund August and Edna Luelle Nilson (Peck); his brothers, Quinton, Wendell, Loren and Arden; his daughter Rita Renee Nilson; his close friends, Shirley Arens and Patricia Russo; and his grandsons, Kyle Evan Nilson and Kole Andrew Nilson.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Nissen; his children, Brian Nilson (Margret) of Austin, TX, Liz Randall of Buckeye, AZ, Carrie Tveit (Art) of Beresford, SD, Carla Havlin (Larry) of Peoria, AZ and Loren Nilson (Carla) of LeMars, IA; and his siblings, Audrey Rolfes of Alcester, SD, Gereldine Schreur of Alcester, SD and Larry Nilson of Hawarden, IA.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
