Eldor Schilling Obituary
Eldor "Fibber" Schilling, 84, Akaska, SD, died Monday, November 1, 2021 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Akaska, led by Pastor Lloyd Schlomer. Interment, with military rites by the Frederick Schauer American Legion Post No. 100, Selby, SD, follows at the Akaska Cemetery.
The Schilling family prefers memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, PO Box 417, Akaska, SD 57420 and to the Akaska Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 22, Akaska, SD 57420.
Fibber's funeral will be livestreamed at the Lien Family Funeral Care Facebook page and be available at this website Tuesday night.
Visitation will be at Lien Funeral Chapel, Selby, from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday and resumes 9:30 AM Monday at the Church.
Eldor is survived by Shirley, his wife of 60 years; two sons—Michael (Suzette) Schilling of Parker, CO and Thomas (Celina) Schilling of Austin, AR; two daughters—MarKay (Allen) Steinmetz of Watertown, SD and Tanya (Roy) Alloway of Amarillo, TX; one brother—Wilton "Hooch" (Gladys) Schilling of Akaska; three sisters—Mildred Vojta of the Walworth County Care Center, Selby, JoAnn Tabbert of Helena, MT, and Dee Ann (Paul) Fuhrmann of Cherokee, IA; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services are in care of Lien Funeral Home, Bowdle.
