He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Maestas Sr. and Rena Maestas (White); and his brothers, Rossando, Gary and Timothy Maestas.
He is survived by: his son Wayland Maestas (Kimberly) of Agency Village, SD; and his siblings, Joanne Bird of White, SD, Gerald Maestas of Minneapolis, MN. and Simon Maestas Jr. of Sisseton, SD. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
