It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virlene Mauck Knecht of Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Renz and Maggie Renz (Kost); her husbands, James Knecht and Eddie Mauck; her son Timmy Mauck; and her sister Viola Himrich.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck Mauck (Amy) of Aberdeen, Kent Mauck (Helen) of Mobrdige, SD, Patti Mauck of Fairfax, VA and Cindy Herman (Fran) of Wayzata, MN; her grandchildren, Melissa Thiery (Les), Jessica Aiello (Pete), Brandon Mauck (Becky), Tabetha Rabenberg (Tim), Toby Mauck, Jamie Mauck and Hayley Hilton (Scott); and her sister Idella Bohlander.
Due to COVID, Virlene's family has chosen to have a private family service at 10:30 a. m., Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Blair Kirkpatrick, of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating.
