It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Rau of Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on November 30, 2020, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emanuel Salzsiedler and Freida Salzsiedler; her husband Leo Rau; her son Gary; her sisters, Virginia and Betty; her grandson Clark; and her great grandchild Logan.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Schott (Arnie) of McLaughlin; her daughter-in-law Janet Rau; and her grandchildren, Jayde Schott (Kristi) of Aberdeen, Jamie Schott (Donna) of Lakewood, Dayne Schott of Sioux Falls, Sonda Tople (Greg) of Aberdeen, Shelly Gauer (Brad) of Watertown, Ken Rau (Lana) of Mobridge and LeeAnn Buckmiller (Michael) of Fargo. She is also survived by 19 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter.
