It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Joan Pietz of Aberdeen, South Dakota, born in Leola, South Dakota, who passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Hauck and Lydia Hauck; her son Robert Melvin; and her husband Melvin Pietz. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Belinda (Jim), Richard Lee (Brian Jorgensen) of Minneapolis, MN and Thomas Jacob (DeeAnna); her grandchildren, Tiffany, Travis (Maria), Steven and Michelle; and her sister Bernice Fuehrer.
