He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Determan and Barbara Determan (Hess); and his siblings, Mary, Bruce, Greg, Jeff and Brent.

He is survived by: his significant other Sheila Bunke of Aberdeen; his sons, Lennon Christopher and Marshall Dylan; his grandsons, Tayler, Timmy and Tristan; his siblings, Dennis Determan (Nancy) of Beulah, ND and Cindy Summitt of Safford, Arizona; his sister-in-law Holly Determan of Milbank, SD; his nieces and nephews, Sarah, Kelsey, Tabitha, Darcey, Jenny and Ryan; and his close friend Rick Carlson (Tim).
