He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Michael and Mary Ellen Saunders (Reilly); his son George Saunders (Mary); his wife Phyllis Saunders; and his siblings, John, James Saunders and Margaret Saunders Bertsch.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Saunders (Dan Rowe), Theresa Long (Rocky), Laura Saunders and Dan Saunders; his grandchildren, Colleen Baker (Jeff), Sheila Rowe, Jessica Shawn (Brian), Joshua Saunders (Emilie), Richard Hilgemann (Lacey) and Michael Hilgemann; his great grandchildren, Brianne, Brooke, Azad, Jamal, Shilair, Amelia, Everly, Jack and Winn; and his great great grandchildren, Liam, Jaxon, Kora, Leo, Grayson and Harley.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Stratford Community Theater, Salvation Army, Senior Nutrition, or Sacred Heart Food Pantry.
