It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Ertz of Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on September 15, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Wojick and Anna Wojick (Lavey); her husband Duane Ertz; her son Dale; and her daughter-in-law Sherrie Ertz.

She is survived by: her sons, Dan Ertz of Coeur and Doug Ertz of Aberdeen; her grandchildren, Randee Ertz, Casey Stuckey, Justin Ertz, Aaron Taylor and Adam Taylor; and her daughter-in-law Lola Ertz. She is also survived by her husband, sons and grandchildren.

“I was a very close friend of Sylvia's. I am from Jamestown, ND. I was not aware of her passing until a friend of mine read it in the Jamestown Sun. I am so sorry to hear of this news. This was not called to my attention until last week. I am devasted to hear of this as I didn't even know she was ill.
