He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Sauer and Helen Sauer (McDaniel); his wife Renita Kindel; his daughter Erica Sauer of Aberdeen; and his siblings, Donald Sauer (Noreen) of Mobridge, SD, Debra Johnson (Brian) of Fargo, ND and Kimberly Simon (Terry) of Aberdeen.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 9:30 AM. A wake was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory (414 5th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD 57401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (502 2nd Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401).
In lieu of flowers, Scott's family requests memorials be sent in Scott's memory to Alzheimer's Association South Dakota Chapter at 5915 South Remington Place, Suite 110, Sioux Falls, SD 57108.
