With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ruth Mueller of Aberdeen, South Dakota, born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on January 2, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Dumkrieger and G. Irene Larsen; her husband George; and her friends, Edith Stanley, Sylvia Emerson, Edith Cline, Opal Sheehan, Jan Sparling (Rees) and Mother Therese.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Mueller (Linda Johnston), Pam Fluent (Darrell), John Mueller (Kay) and Penni Pearson (Patrick Whiteley); her grandchildren, Zach Mueller (Morgan) and Lukas Mueller; her great grandchildren, Zailey Ophelia and Zayla "Ruthie" Mueller; her brother Fred Dumkrieger (Marcia); her siblings-in-law, Lois Zellmer (Eldon) and Alan Mueller (Pam); her cousins, Diane Krueger (Roberts) and Danny Roberts; and her close friends, Carma Garey (Swain), Ruby Hebb (Longlee) and Mother Joseph. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and other cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Luke Lutheran Church (2039 S St Aubin St, Sioux City, IA 51106). Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Ruth declined over her final years due to Parkinson's Disease Dementia (PDD).
